1994 Cadillac
Victoria Hearse by Sayers and Scovill

A very handsome coach, now owned by Mr. Rodger Whiting, Whiting Funeral Chapel, Breckenridge, Michigan. The hearse is finished in gray metallic with a matching vinyl roof and blue interior. The famous Sayers and Scovill name has been known to funeral directors, since they started building hearses in 1876. The classic Victoria model began in 1938, when S&S introduced a hearse with the then new "Landau" styling. The landau mocked convertible automobiles of the period. The landau bar was actually functional on early convertibles, as part of the folding top mechanism. This was a style that was well received, as it is still in production, and is the most popular style, to this day. This great coach features commercial glass, an amber beacon, flagstaffs and a burl wood casket bier.

You Can't Take It With You...

Recently, Grand Rapids based Zondervan Publishing Company, used one of our hearses for a very special project.  They heaped-up some of life's prized possessions on the roof, to help introduce a new book by John Ortberg, entitled "When The Game Is Over, It All Goes Back In The Box."  The book tells of life lessons taught by the author's Grandmother, while playing board games.  John uses popular culture, a sense of humor and a gift for compelling storytelling to help us live more meaningful lives.  Additional information about his new book can be found at johnortberg.com
