Corporal Wesley G. Ross
| Although details accompanying this International News Photo are somewhat sketchy, it seems that this funeral service, with full military honors, was for Corporal Wesley G. Ross. Although he was a December 7th, 1941, Pearl Harbor victim, this service was held years later, on October 31st, 1947. Special arrangements were made between the local post of the VFW and the war department, to use the same caisson used earlier for President Roosevelt's funeral. |
